Applique — Rear, Rear Door

Removal and Installation

1. Remove the outer belt moulding.
   • Release the retaining clip at the rear of the belt moulding, then slide the front of the moulding off of the flange to remove the belt moulding from the door.

2. NOTE: The rear door rear applique is held on by double-sided tape from the forward edge of the applique and by trim clips near the center of the applique. The rearmost edge rolls over the door frame sheet metal.

   Starting at the upper forward corner of the applique, insert a suitable removal tool between the applique and the door frame.

3. Determine the location of the double-sided tape. Carefully spread spray-on adhesive cleaner down the space between the applique and door frame. Allow the cleaner to set for several minutes.

4. Begin removing the applique, spraying additional adhesive cleaner as needed.

Installation

1. Remove all remaining adhesive tape on the mating surfaces of the door and apply new adhesive tape.

2. NOTE: Make sure the forward edge of the rear door rear applique is underneath the glass run lip.

   Install the applique on the edge of the door, engage the groove then gently press down to engage the clips and tape.

3. Install the outer belt moulding.
