Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor

Vehicle Communication Module (VCM) and Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) software with appropriate hardware, or equivalent scan tool

Removal and Installation

All vehicles

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Section 100-02 .

3.5L GTDI vehicles

2. Remove the LH turbocharger. For additional information, refer to Section 303-04C .

All vehicles

3. • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

5. NOTICE: Remove the bolt and the CKP sensor from the bell housing before disconnecting the electrical connector to prevent the CKP sensor from falling in the bell housing.

   NOTE: Follow the unique instructions or graphic for this step in installation.

Installation

All vehicles

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

2. • 2. Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

3.5L GTDI

3. Using the scan tool, perform the Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile Correction procedure, following the on-screen instructions.
