Removal

All vehicles

1. Disconnect the battery. Refer to Section 414-01 .

Radial arm removal only

NOTE: The radial arm adapter is a serviceable item. Do not remove the generator if the radial arm adapter is the only concern.

Vehicles equipped with a 3.5L Ti-VCT engine

3. Remove the cooling fan assembly. Refer to Section 303-03 .

Vehicles equipped with a 3.5L GTDI engine

5. Remove the A/C compressor. Refer to Section 412-01 .

All vehicles

Installation

Radial arm installation only

1. 1. Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
   2. Tighten to 17 Nm (150 lb-in).

All vehicles

3. • Tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).

4. • Tighten to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).

5. • Tighten to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).

6. • Tighten to 17 Nm (150 lb-in).

Vehicles equipped with a 3.5L GTDI engine

7. Install the A/C compressor. Refer to Section 412-01 .

Vehicles equipped with a 3.5L Ti-VCT engine

9. Install the cooling fan assembly. Refer to Section 303-03 .

All vehicles

10. Connect the battery cable. Refer to Section 414-01 .
